It’s no secret that I have a very classic sense of style with a little bit of a twist, and every so often I feel like dressing out of my comfort zone. So today, I’m talking about how I styled this country chic shearling vest.
This should be a common thought, but when I shop, I try to only purchase items that I really love so I don’t bombard myself with a whole lot of things that are just “meh,” but another thing I always take into consideration is price. I have no problem splurging on a high quality piece that I know I’ll wear all the time and have forever, however when it comes to something like this country chic shearling vest, I don’t like to drop the big bucks. Don’t get me wrong, I do love this piece, but when thinking about my daily life and work schedule, I know it’s not something that I’ll wear all the time.
Thus, I went to Target to find this precious piece of clothing! And ta da, my outfit formed! Even when I dress a little differently and out of my comfort zone, I like to wear pieces that are very iconic to my style, so for this outfit, I paired the vest with a wardrobe staple of mine, the woven white blouse. I have so many woven blouses in different necklines and colors, but I love how they can make an outfit appear more polished and put together than a basic cotton top, and can be worn with almost anything.
I think that adding the woven blouse under the country chic shearling vests makes it a little more my style, and a little more chic than country, so it really worked here. I paired it with some of my favorite treasure and bond jeans, and brown boots that I’ve had for ages for the perfect country chic look.
