Do you remember when you got brand new pots and pans? Remember how they sparkled and were free from any discoloration or residue?
Crud that’s burned onto the bottom of your pan can be a pain to get rid of, but if you utilize one insanely simple pantry staple, you’ll have your pans looking like new in a snap! What’s the secret? Baking soda! Baking soda works so well because it is a mild abrasive which lets you scrub off anything at the bottom of the pot without scratching up and ruining its surface. The odor neutralizing effects of baking soda also help eliminate any food remaining. This insanely easy trick is also budget friendly too, coming in as way less expensive than any purchased cleaning product! Here’s how it’s done:
Step 1: Get your pot/pan wet, (don’t put much water in here, the key is to make a paste) and pour a tablespoon or two of baking soda at the bottom.
Step 2: Scrub with the rough side of a sponge
Step 3: Rinse, and enjoy pans as clean as the first day you got them!
