I’ve been seeing the faux wrap skirt trend a lot lately, and I really wanted to try it out, so when I found this skirt on sale, I was super excited to order it! Low and behold, it is even more awesome than I expected! It is a really nice fabric, and is pull on so you don’t have to worry about pesky zippers. This makes it super flattering and comfortable.
One of the reasons I love the faux wrap skirt is because it elongates the body, lengthening the legs with the slit, producing a long lean look. The one tricky thing about this style is that you need to make sure it is longer than you think it should be, because the slit makes it ride up a bit and shows way too much leg if the skirt is even a little too short. When I pulled this out of the box, I immediately thought it would be super long on me, however the slit and faux wrap effect make it flattering and ensure that the length isn’t overwhelming on someone short like me.
I decided to pair it with a simple white blouse and a Topshop blazer (similar here) for a simple and clean look. I love the neutral color palate and how the faux wrap skirt pairs with the wardrobe staples to create a cohesive outfit.
