It’s no secret that I love a good leather jacket, so when I found this mixed media piece at Zara, I knew I had to have it! What makes it even better is that it was under $40! I couldn’t believe I had found such a great item of clothing for that price, but then again, Zara is known for their high fashion and low prices, so I guess it shouldn’t have come at too much of a surprise.
I often find myself gravitating towards simple pieces that I can play up, and this mixed media topper is no exception. It’s not quite a jacket and it’s definitely not your average sweater, but I love the combination of textures and colors to create a unique piece that could be styled casually, for work, or even with a cute dress for a night out.
For this look, I chose to pair army green skinny jeans (similar here) with a basic white camisole, and my Zara mixed media topper. I love the juxtaposition of textiles and combination of neutral colors to give an overall cohesive and put together look.
I also think this would be really cute if you swapped out the denim for a pencil skirt, or even a great jumpsuit with an accentuated waist.
The different colors and textures within this look keep it interesting even though I’m wearing all neutrals. I also topped it off with my favorite Alexis Bittar necklace to add a bit more edge and a little glam.
