I’m going to let you in on a little secret. I use Greek yogurt for everything! From baking to salad dressings, dips, and even face masks, Greek yogurt is my secret ingredient in a lot of recipes, and this guilt free feta and herb dip is no different. Feta is a very strong cheese, so it works really well when combined with plain Greek yogurt and herbs to create a deliciously creamy and savory dip.
This can be served with pita, with raw veggies, or can even be used as a sauce for meat and poultry. The possibilities are endless for this guilt free feta and herb dip!
Guilt Free Feta and Herb Dip Ingredients:
- 1 ¾ cup plain nonfat Greek yogurt
- ¾ cup crumbled feta cheese (Pastures of Eden Feta is my favorite brand)
- Zest of 1 lemon
- Juice of ½ lemon (about 2 teaspoons)
- ½ teaspoon dry dill + more for garnish
- ½ teaspoon dry oregano
- 1/8 teaspoon kosher salt
- 1/8 teaspoon ground black pepper
This recipe couldn’t get much easier. Place all ingredients in the bowl of a food processor and blend to combine. Voila! Simple as that! If you don’t have a food processor, you could absolutely mix the ingredients by hand, but note that the dip won’t be as smooth. I recommend making this dip at least a few hours before serving, but a day ahead of time is best. The flavors come together and taste better as they sit, and as a bonus, it makes for super easy party prep!
When ready to serve, place the dip in a bowl and drizzle with olive oil and additional dill for garnish. This guilt free feta and herb dip will be the hit of your next party, and is the perfect way to indulge without having to worry about unwanted calories. Enjoy!
