I’m a huge fan of green drinks, and more particularly green smoothies. Drinking a green smoothie is an easy way to add more veggies to your diet, and ensures that you get all of the nutrition and fiber that fruit and vegetables have to offer. This cleansing pineapple ginger green smoothie is one of my favorite recipes because it’s easy to make, cool and refreshing, and great for your system.
One of my biggest problems with mass produced green drinks is that there is a lot of excess sugar from the addition of fruit juices from concentrate, so I started making smoothies with fresh or frozen fruit, using water as the liquid. The smoothies are healthier, keep you hydrated, and ensure that you’re not consuming excess sugar.
Cleansing Pineapple Ginger Green Smoothie Ingredients:
- ½ cup frozen pineapple
- 1 ½ packed cups fresh spinach
- 1 ¼ tsp crystalized ginger
- ½ tsp chia seeds
- 2 cups water
Just blend everything together until smooth, and enjoy your cleansing pineapple ginger green smoothie! If you are going to start making smoothies, it’s important to invest in a good blender. I love my nutribullet, but there are a lot of great ones out there. If you don’t have a good blender, the drink won’t be as smooth and will be less pleasurable to drink. When I first started making smoothies, I had a mediocre blender that left the smoothies a little chunky. I didn’t think it was terrible until I upgraded and the smoothies came out smooth and creamy. It was definitely life changing!
