Prosciutto Wrapped Dates

Bacon wrapped dates are a classic appetizer, but they are super unhealthy, and to be honest, they’re a total pan to make! You have to deal with raw pork, and the bacon fat seems to get everywhere. I came up with these prosciutto wrapped dates that are ridiculously easy to make, ridiculously delicious, and best of all, super low calorie! Believe it or not, these decadent prosciutto wrapped dates come in at only 30 calories each! This means that you can enjoy yourself without the guilt, and “indulge” in that classic salty sweet combo without any worry.

Prosciutto wrapped dates

  • I 10oz package of pitted deglet dates (about 35 in the container)
  • 9 pieces of thinly sliced prosciutto, cut into quarters
  • Olive oil spray

Prosciutto Wrapped Dates

Preheat oven to 425. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and lightly spray with olive oil spray. Cut each slice of prosciutto into quarters so that you can easy roll up the dates. Roll each slice of prosciutto around a date, and place on the prepared baking sheet.

Spray the prepared prosciutto wrapped dates with a light coating of olive oil spray, and bake for 10-12 minutes until the prosciutto is crispy. Let the prosciutto wrapped dates cool for about 5 minutes, then place on a platter or in a bowl to enjoy!
